Five Easy Tips for Online Dating
Wear a full shirt in your profile picture
Put on a polo tee or button down: if you want to show off your figure, do it in photos where you’re engaging in a sport. Sitting in a car in an undershirt doesn’t depict respect.
Smile!
Unless you’re actively engaged in sport, put up photos where you’re smiling, not trying to look tough for aloof. You’re trying to attract a stranger, and stranger’s are drawn to the warm and friendly.
Use proper grammar.
Women receive dozens upon dozens of “hi” “hello” and “how r u?” This is your chance to make an impression: make it with a solid, grammatically correct introduction, such as “Hello! Your profile caught my eye. We have (insert interests) in common. Hope to hear from you!”
Something that simple will still stand out.
Have someone else take your photos.
Selfies are the online dating default, but having another take your pictures makes for better framing, angles, and shows you have community around you.
Skip the gym shots.
Your physique is visible, even through a collared shirt! List your interest in exercise, have a friend photograph you smiling, and greet all interest with a properly written hello, and you’ll see your matches improve exponentially.
